As hosts, siblings Carie and Ross will analyze this phenomenon by breaking down a favorite movie or television show and how the sights, sounds, and messages of media have followed our generation throughout our lives. This week we're diving into What's Eating Gilbert Grape, a film about how a young man with a turbulent family life manages to scrape together an existence in the middle of nowhere, Endora, Iowa. Ross touches on the themes of isolation and arrest in development of the film, Carie holds Ross' hand through the more devastating parts, and the siblings reflect on what is was like to grow up in a small rural town.
