Sometimes it makes us idolize Jeff Goldblum as a sex symbol. Sometimes a lack of representation makes you feel invisible. As hosts, siblings Carie and Ross will analyze this phenomenon by breaking down a favorite movie or television show and how the sights, sounds, and messages of media have followed our generation throughout our lives. So pour your favorite beverage, relax, and explore how our shared experiences with movies and television messed us up as a generation. This week is CORE for one of our hosts, lil onions. We kick off Ross' September Birthday Month with one of the VHS favorites, James and the Giant Peach (1996). Ross weeps almost instantly from the music to the story of James' plight, Carie gets spooked by the metaphorical rhinoceros, and the siblings underline the importance of chosen family, especially in cases of giant anthropomorphic bugs.
