As hosts, siblings Carie and Ross will analyze this phenomenon by breaking down a favorite movie or television show and how the sights, sounds, and messages of media have followed our generation throughout our lives. Happy April, lil onions! This month Kicking & Streaming is breaking down genre parodies in film. To begin, the siblings are covering one of Ross' least favorites, Cabin in the Woods (2011). Carie defends the movie as an intelligence commentary on the repetition of the teen slasher narrative, Ross grumbles and groans at the Hemsworth and Bradley Whitford, and along the way the siblings manage to find some things to agree on when it comes to this slasher parody film.
